Pastor Avery Choi

Pastor Avery currently serves as one of the Associate Pastors at Lord’s Grace Church. Raised in Hong Kong, he completed his undergraduate studies in computer engineering in the United States. After completing a master of social work and worked as a social worker in his hometown, Pastor Avery responded to God’s call to full-time ministry, leading him to move with his family in 2016 to Vancouver, where he completed his Master of Divinity at Regent College.

Beginning to serve in 2020 at Lord’s Grace Church, Pastor Avery is committed to nurturing a vibrant community of Christ-followers. Drawing from his diverse cultural experiences, he is dedicated to helping individuals from various backgrounds to walk together in their faith journey. Pastor Avery finds his deepest joy in witnessing stories of people stepping out of their comfort zones to grow in their relationship with God.

Outside of his pastoral duties, Avery dedicates himself to his primary calling as a husband and father. He and his wife, Glory, share a passion for books, brunch, and coffee. Pastor Avery also enjoys playing a variety of games with his 10-year old son Jerry and 8-year-old daughter Abby, whether it’s a strategic round of Catan or an adventurous session of Minecraft.
